Who we are

Live Khaata is a sole proprietorship (GSTIN 09IASPK2450N1ZW) based in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. This policy explains what information the Live Khaata app and website collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account details: your mobile number (used for OTP login), and the shop or firm name, state and email you provide at purchase, and your GSTIN if given.
  • Business records you enter: entries of money received and paid, supplier details, bills, payments, notes and related records.
  • Bill photos you scan, and the details read from them.
  • Voice entries: when you use voice entry, your speech is converted to text. Where needed, the audio is sent to our server only to interpret that entry.
  • Camera and microphone: used only when you scan a bill or make a voice entry, and only with your permission.
  • Technical information: app usage events, last active time and a notification token, used to operate and improve the service.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay or Google Play. We receive the payment status and reference, never your card, UPI or bank credentials.

How we use it

To provide the service and keep your records backed up and in sync; to read bills and voice entries; to activate your licence and issue GST invoices; to provide support; to prevent fraud and misuse; and to meet legal and tax obligations.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored and processed on Google Firebase and Google Cloud. Servers may be located outside India, including in the United States. Bill photos and voice entries are processed by Google Cloud AI services solely to extract the information you asked for.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising or marketing. We share information only with service providers who help us run Live Khaata (Google Firebase and Google Cloud, Razorpay, SMS services for OTPs and email services for invoices), and with authorities where required by law.

Security

Access is protected by OTP login and an app PIN, and data is encrypted in transit. Each account can access only its own records.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app menu (“मेरा खाता और डेटा मिटाएं”); after OTP confirmation, your records and bill photos are deleted from our servers. Tax invoices we have issued to you are retained as required by GST law.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and raise a grievance. Contact us using the details below.

Children

Live Khaata is intended for businesses and is not meant for use by anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be notified in the app or on this website.
